These cookies expire when a session ends, i.e. when you close your browser.
aspsessionid When you first visit a website, your browser will create a new session cookie which is used to identify you as a user between page loads.
VisitorID This is an automatically generated ID number which is used to count the number of pages visited by the user on a particular website.
Cat_ID This identifies which page of the website you are on, and is used to populate the page with appropriate content from the database.
Cat_ID_Nav This identifies which page of the website you are on within the navigation structure of the website. It is used to control such things as button colours in the navigation bar.
ThisNav and ClickNav These cookies are used to store a 'crumb line' of previously visited pages so that the user can see where they are within the navigation structure of the website.
arrSID This is used to store a querystring as a cookie. A querystring is a piece of code that appears in the address bar and is deleted when a new page is loaded. This cookie allows querystring information to be passed across multiple pages.
PageNo This records the Cat_ID of our websites home page. It is used in conjunction with the arrSID cookie to store a querystring.
Cookies used to control visitor access privileges
These cookies expire either when a session ends, or within 24 hours, whichever is the sooner.
VisitorML_ID This is the ID number of a user that has page access privileges on the website.
VisitorAccess This cookie is used to determine which pages a user can and cannot view.
VisitorUsername Used in conjunction with the VisitorLogin cookie. These cookies determine whether or not a user can view page content or are redirected to a login page.
VisitorLogin Used in conjunction with the cookie above.
VisitorEmail This is the email address of a user that has registered with the website. It is often the same as the VisitorUsername cookie. This is also the email address that would be used to send email newsletters if the user has opted in to receive them.
VisitorName This is the name of a user that has registered with the website. It can be used to display personalised messages on web pages.
VisitorAdmin This cookie determines whether or not a user has access to our websites administration section.
Cookies specific to online shops
Most of these cookies hold a users purchase information until such time as it is written to the database. They expire when a session ends, or are deleted when the order is complete.
ClientName This cookie records the name of the recipient of the order.
ClientEmail This cookie records the email to which order acknowledgements will be sent.
ClientAddress This cookie records the shipping address for the order.
OrderDetails This cookie records what the client has ordered
CatCartID This cookie records the ID number of the order.
postageoption This cookie is used to calculate postage charges depending on the shipping address.
